This week went by CRAZY fast! Mostly because I had not one, but two different exchanges. First one was with Sister Hone. Yes. WE thought it would be a good idea to have a "zebra" exchange. Hmna Black left to be an English sister for a day, and Sister Hone got to see what it's like in the life of an Hermana. Ah. Yeah. Love this Sister! She's not in our District- but her and her comp live like 10 min away so we hang out sometimes on P-day. This is her first legit transfer in the field- so you could say she's got some crazy excitement and enthusiasm for the work #sorefreshing. She took 4 years of Spanish in H.S, and was praying to get called somewhere Spanish speaking. Needless to say. She's been thinking about asking President Woodbury to move her to the Spanish program...she just wanted to test out the waters a little bit before :)
Later in the week, I had exchanges with one of the new Sister Trainer Leaders - they're pretty much a cross between Assistants and Zone Leaders. Anyway. She's awesome! And come to find out, she was in the MTC with Hermana Mckell Prater. Small world. Her and I had a scheduled apt. with Antonio for Saturday morning...and then he called and tried to bail right before. Woof. Hmna Williams wouldn't have it. Let's just say he reconsidered. Ended up meeting with us. And brought us sushi and chocolate cake to make up for it. Bless his heart. Btw. Still waiting to hear about a baptismal date :( We were hoping for August 3rd- he told us yesterday that he doesn't like that date, buttttttt, it'd for sure happen in August. We'll see :)
I feel like not much happened this week...it was a weird schedule with all the exchanges and meetings we had.
But! It wouldn't be a real letter if I didn't have some sort of message to share. Entoncesss. Tonight, Hermana Black and I are planning on sharing the story of Esther, with Jessica and her parents. Stoked. Jessica still has her bap. date for Aug. 10th....she just needs to get married first. As you can probably all imagine, it's been a struggle for her. Love this lady so much! She has such a desire to make these changes in her life, and be better...but the boyfriend just won't have it. You could say he's not our biggest fan- and he's not too interested in Jessica becoming a member of this church. Breaks my heart, really. I guess this is where Esther comes into play. Not gonna lie though. I usually stay away from the Old Testament...mostly because it's CRAZY, and the Book of Mormon is where it's at anyway. Point is. Esther is a TOTAL BOSS. She's mostly just a rocking example of courage...and her story goes to show what great miracles can come from faith, prayer, and fasting. Everyone. Check out this video. Do i feel like weeping every time I watch it? Yup. The sweet little old lady's story gets me. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6nLsNRopWQE .
I'm excited for this upcoming week. I have a feeling it's gonna be a good one! As always, thanks for the continued prayers and support on my behalf. I love you all. I love being a missionary. And most importantly, I love this gospel.
Much love,
